Hitch: Five Card Streak

Hitch is a card game for iPhone by Systemless AB. We do not run any servers of our own, and the app has no accounts, no ads, no advertising identifiers and no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. This policy explains the little that is left.

1. Data we do not collect

  • Personal data: we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or contact details.

  • Account data: no registration or login is required or stored.

  • Analytics and crash reports: the app contains no analytics or crash-reporting service.

  • Tracking: we do not track you across apps or websites and we do not share anything with data brokers or advertisers. The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no tracking domains.

  • Location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera: never accessed.

2. Data stored on your device

Everything the app remembers stays on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us:

  • Statistics: rounds played, wins, losses, best score, win rate and average burn, kept per level and tie rule, in a file in the app's Application Support directory.

  • Settings: your colour theme and tie rule, in the app's own preferences.

  • Free-round counter: the number of free rounds started today and the current calendar day, so the daily limit can be applied.

This data is covered by your device's own protections and is included in your encrypted iPhone or iCloud backup if you make one. Deleting the app removes all of it.

3. Purchases

Hitch offers one non-consumable in-app purchase that removes the daily round limit and unlocks the Easy and Hard levels. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. The app asks Apple whether the purchase is present on your Apple Account, and Apple's Terms of Service and privacy policy govern the transaction.

4. Game Center (optional)

If you sign in to Game Center, achievement progress is submitted to Apple's Game Center service so it can be stored with your Apple Account and shown across your devices. This is a feature of Apple's operating system; we receive no personal information from it, only what the system needs to report your achievement progress. Game Center is optional and the whole game can be played without signing in. Apple's privacy policy applies to Game Center: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

5. Third-party services

Apple, as the provider of the App Store, in-app purchases and Game Center, is the only third party involved. We use no other SDKs or services.

6. Children

Hitch is a solo card game with no chat, no user-generated content, no ads and no data collection, so there is nothing for us to gather from children or anyone else.

7. Your data and your choices

Because nothing is collected or sent to us, there is no account to close and no data for us to export or erase. To remove the app's data from your device, delete the app. Purchase and Game Center records are held by Apple and managed through your Apple Account.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
